Hi, my name is Roxie. I am very timid and scared around new people, but don’t let that stop you from meeting me. If you are patient with me and make me feel safe and secure I will come out of my shell and once I do you will see a very happy, playful and loving side. It may take a few days of my new family holding me, talking nice to me and petting me for me to start trusting you, but once I do you will love me to death. When new people come to my home don’t be surprised if I hide because I am timid.
Once I am out of my shell I love to have my tummy rubbed and just be by your side. I love to sleep with my favorite people. I did not have other dogs in my previous home, but I I am getting used to my foster brothers and sister. I am timid, but I do not have a mean bone in my body and have never snapped at or growled at my foster siblings, my foster parents, or their child. I have not been around cats, so that would be a new experience for me. However, I am great with older kids that will take it slow and not grab at me.
I am am potty trained. When I go outside I potty right away, but love to explore the outdoors. My foster mom and dad work long hours so they do put down puppy pads and I always go potty on those and not the floors. I am smart and very capable of being taught new things. I also love my treats when I come in from outside. My foster parents use treats as a potty training tool and I have already learned this trick.
I have no known medical issues and am up to date on all my vaccinations and am spayed. The vet says I am healthy and ready for my forever home.
My foster mom and dad know I would make the right family the perfect companion once I get comfortable and learn I am safe. Please consider me for your home. Love Roxie.
