If you never met a face that could melt your heart, you haven’t met Honey.  Honey is a sweet little Heinz 57 mix sort of love bug that was sadly left behind.
She came to our rescue in a very skinny state and we are working to put some weight on her. She’s currently  approximately 6-7 pounds and growing.

Currently we are feeding her rice & hamburger along with using a milk supplement to ensure she’s getting the nutrients she needs. Soon she will be ready for kibble and all the other good stuff.

Honey has already won over some hearts with her playful demeanor and cuddly ways. She loves to nuzzle and curl into a warm blanket and be held. Her fosters are working with her on potty training which with a regular schedule, she should pick up just fine. She’s a very smart cookie!

Honey enjoys her days, napping in the sunshine and playing with her foster siblings who are 70+ pounds. She’s learning some manners and how to romp about. She sleeps in a kennel at night and is kenneled for short periods when her foster is gone. Regular walks and outings are suggested to keep her from having accidents.

She has had her first round of shots and will need boosters in a few weeks. Honey will also be required to be fixed once her weight is acceptable to the vet.

We’re hoping Honey finds a forever home that will last her all of her years. She deserves a committed home as she was already abandoned and left alone once. Puppies are a lot of work and Honey will be just as sweet as her name, but she will still require some patience and training.

With a strong bond she may not need a fenced yard, so please consider Honey as your forever pup. A face like this doesn’t come along too often. As with many rescues, we can never guarantee the size of the pups when they reach maturity. So please be reasonable when shopping for a puppy. It isn’t their fault they might outgrow your expectations, but they will provide just as much love as you let them.
