Update 10.10.19: Gus was brought to Furry Friends by a concerned citizen that found him and his sister, Samantha. They were very sick. At 5 weeks of age they both had to have an eye removed due to infection. Because they were so sick and had to have sub q fluids, as well as meds and their eyes messed with, they decided that humans can be scary. After a year working with them, they are slowly coming around.
Gus is also missing the last 2 vertebrae on his tail. He is a great hunter and loves to play. He isn’t too sure about being picked up yet, but likes getting pets when he is up high on a counter or on his cat tree. He feels safer when he is up higher. He is a very sweet cat that wants to watch what you are doing.
It is asked that you give him at least 6 months to get use to his new home. It is also asked that he goes to a home were there isn’t anyone chasing or teasing him since that will delay his bonding with the humans in the home.
Update 7.7.19: Gus is just starting to learn that people can be trusted. He likes to be pet, but only by his foster. He and his sister, Samantha, were feral and are learning that people can be trusted. Will need someone willing to take a long time to earn his trust.
Gus is the black kitten. He has a birthday of September 2018. When he and his sister were brought in they were very sick. They both lost an eye do to an infection. She were also feral and are currently learning to trust people. He is utd and fixed.
